On the road to Melbourne with Lachy

We left Nanna and Poppy's house and we went through Gundegai.  I went to see the Dog who sat on the Tuckerbox. Mum read me the poem and the story of the dog and the tuckerbox.  The story goes that the driver got bogged in the river, couldn't light his fire and then his dog ate his tucker.

We stopped at Holbrook and climbed along the submarine that was moved to Holbrook to remember Leitenant Holbrook who was famous in the war.

 

Tonight we stayed in Wangaratta in a motel.
