We left Montreal which is in Canada and crossed the border back into America. We travelled by our rental car to the Green Mountains in Vermont.
Vermont has lots of tiny towns, covered bridges, windy roads and lots of green trees.
We stayed in the ski resort of Killington for the night. After dinner we went for a relaxing swim. It was heated but it was raining.
The next morning we had breakfast and then drove to the gondola which goes up to the top of the mountain. It was freezing that morning... about 3 degrees and it's the middle of summer!!
Once we got up to the top we hopped out and went for a few walks. The view was spectacular, higher than the "beehive". It was over 1200 metres high. We had a lovely lunch looking over the view.
Antlers are shed every year and the Moose grow new ones, so they make great dog bones.
